To: Retirees who want more
From: Tony Lacertosa, The Unretirement Coach

Dear Friend,

Whoa, hang on a minute! You thought retirement was supposed to be relaxing. You were expecting The Good Life, a carefree existence filled with fun, easy living and letting the good times roll.

So what happened?

Somewhere along the road to living happily ever after, things got off track. You’re not as happy as you thought you’d be. You’re starting to get concerned about your health, your weight, your diet, your exercise regime, your relationships, your happiness, your hopes and dreams.

That’s a lot of concerns, and now you’re starting to wonder to yourself and maybe even aloud:

Is this all there is?

You see, most people work all their lives looking forward to retirement with anticipation and that’s understandable. Why? Because they thought there’d be new mountains to scale, new destinies to pursue, new adventures to experience.

In your 30s and 40s you had a sense of purpose and a whole array of adventures of a different sort: falling in love, raising a family, advancing your career, traveling and so on. You were setting and achieving personal goals and perhaps achieving your most profound desires that truly made you happy.

And you looked ahead to retirement as a new opportunity to unlock a different, even deeper level of happiness, peace and contentment.

But when it doesn’t quite work out that way, there’s a tremendous sense of disappointment. And, ultimately, the letdown of a lifetime takes place.

It’s enough to put even the most optimistic and cheerful person into a tailspin: dejected, confused and even fearful of an uncertain future.

Well I’m here to tell you that retirement doesn’t have to be that way for you. In fact, retirement can be your green light to a new road that you didn’t even see coming, even when you were looking forward to this time of your life.

I’m Tony Lacertosa, The Unretirement Coach.

Here's Why You Should Listen To Me

  • In addition to holding a Masters Degree in Biology, I have a staggering 35 years of experience teaching high school and college students. I've since retired and moved to a different part of the country and established my own coaching practice which I operate on my own terms. So you might say I not only know my stuff but I've also "talked the talk and walked the walk".

  • As a Certified Life Coach with additional specialized training in wellness coaching I'm uniquely qualified to help you face all aspects of your Unretirement experience head on.

  • After having been classified as obese at one point in my life, I took control of my health again and was able to go on to complete 4 New York City Marathons.

I teach people just like you that there is more, so much more to this thing they call retirement. As a matter of fact, my coaching techniques, strategies and action plans fly in the face of most people’s idea of the retirement concept.

Don’t reach for that rocking chair just yet my friend. There’s much more in store for you, and I’m here to help you go after it with more gusto than you’ve had in years.

When you embark on my Unretirement Coaching program you’ll begin to see both short term and long term changes in your life:

You’ll discover your true Purpose in life and realize that, perhaps, this is the Purpose that’s been eluding you all these years

You’ll have more energy to go after and achieve new and exciting goals that we’ll set together based on your deepest desires

You’ll feel healthier than you’ve felt in years

You’ll have a stronger sense of well-being and vitality

You’ll break out of any slumps that you may be in now and start looking forward to each new day with a refreshing excitement and enthusiasm

Just click here to contact me and we’ll start the process.

Thanks to Tony L for pointing the way. I actually had too many retirement options to choose from! Tony helped me decide to focus on my love of Innkeeping. I have owned "The Victoria Rose B&B" in New York for 20 years, but I've managed it part time. Becoming a full time Innkeeper has fully immersed me in this wonderfully social business. Thank you Tony for your help and compassion.

I had been writing on and off part-time for over 25 years now. Although I’ve always dreamed of quitting my “day job” to write full time, I never really had a viable “game” plan until meeting Tony Lacertosa. After several in-depth conversations, I was finally able to move forward in a positive direction and get my first book, I LOVE TODAY – MUSINGS FROM NEW ENGLAND published and have just finished my second novel!

I’m here, living my life the way I want. You deserve to be doing the same thing. But the old adage “be careful what you wish for…” is appropriate here, because what you wished for your retirement years – and eventually got – isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

Am I striking a nerve?

Your retirement years should be spent living in a way that may not necessarily match what you envisioned. Maybe, just maybe, what you envisioned wasn’t the right thing for you.

Start entertaining the notion that perhaps your dreams about your retirement were too small, and now that you’ve achieved those small dreams, a cold reality of “uh-oh, what now?” is starting to sink in.

Don’t worry, and don’t be disillusioned one minute longer. I’m here to help you rescue your dreams so you can make this the most fulfilling time of your life. It’s time for you to begin your Unretirement.

Here’s How Unretirement
Coaching Works

The first conversation will be a fact-finding mission. I will want to know about your current state of being. Where you are, where you want to be and what you’d like to be doing when you get there.

Then we’ll map out a solid course and put together action plans that are do-able, realistic and custom made for you and your specific vision.

Whether it’s going back into the working world, or embarking on a journey of personal discovery, or to help a cause you believe in, or take on a new activity you’ve always wanted to do, we’ll determine what Unretirement is for you, because it is indeed different for every single retired person on the planet.

And in case you’re thinking that eventually you’ll be just given a road map and told what to do, think again, because I will be with you every step of the way to be your support system, your cheering section and your sounding board.

And here’s fair warning: you will be held accountable to actually do what you say you’re going to do, to take the actions and do what’s necessary to achieve your Unretirement goals. Why? Because the end result is well worth it.

Perhaps the best part is this:

My strategies are proven to work in the real world.

That means you won’t have to worry about whether you’re doing the right thing. In fact, you can stop worrying about anything starting now. I’m going to make your successful and enriching retirement my number one priority.

Many experts break down the retirement process into something like these 5 stages.

  • Stage 1 is "Imagination" which begins 10 years or so before retirement. This is where you let yourself daydream about what your life will be like when you are out of the daily grind.

  • Stage 2 is "Anticipation" which is usually a few years before you retire. Here is where people start to get the adrenalin going with the excitement that retirement is almost here.

  • Stage 3 is "Retirement Day" which is usually the time of greatest excitement. You made it to the big day and for about a year or so after the day, you are thoroughly enjoying the new life. This period of time is often referred to as the honeymoon period of retirement.

  • Stage 4 is "Reorientation" This is the time that you settle into the reality of day to day retirement living. This usually begins a year or two after retirement day. This is the time period that can be most troubling for retirees because you begin to realize that your retirement is not all fun and games like you thought it would be. Almost 50% of all retirees report that during this period, the feeling of great joy gives way to some feelings of emptiness, worry, let down, or something similar.

  • Stage 5 is "Reconciliation" where retirees accept the retirement they made for themselves, good or bad, as what the rest of their lives will be.

To help you get off in the right direction, we need to know where you are now. I'd like you to carefully consider the following 4 questions and send me your answers. As my way of saying "Thank You" for your time, I'll send you a copy of my free informative report "Six Major Causes for Unhappy Retirements (And How You Can Counteract Them).
